Why Touch of Vitality?
I decided to learn all about nutrition because nothing makes me happier than food - that's really why.
I always enjoyed cooking but never had any idea about just how much of an impact it could have on my overall health. Growing up I hated anything deemed a 'healthy food'. I struggled to eat any fruits or vegetables because they would always be served boiled or steamed, basically, they tasted bland and wet. Whenever these foods were left on my plate I was told to eat them 'because they were good for me' with no real explanation as to why.
Nowadays, my perspective around healthy foods has changed. It doesn't feel like an effort to include them in my diet every day because I love them, genuinely. I love cooking them in different sauces and seasonings and creating textures that make them taste so moorish that I can't stop filling up on them. I now understand the different health benefits of all these wonderful foods and that just makes me want to eat them more.
What I offer:
I have been practising nutritional therapy since 2020. For a while I worked for a gut health company called Probio7, creating educational content for others to read, share and try as well as helping the brand to expand their products. After completing my MSc in Sports Nutrition, I got a job working with Wigan AFC & Bolton Wanderers FC supporting the academy players and the women’s first team with nutrition. Whilst working alongside these teams I frequently see private clients who are looking to accelerate their performance - or their child’s performance- in whichever sport they practice by learning how to optimise their nutrition.
But I don’t only offer sports nutrition advice. As a qualified nutritional therapist, I still work privately with individuals looking to better their health and improve their relationship with food. I have worked across the board with individuals looking to gain/lose weight, reduce digestive discomforts, improve skin health, eliminate migraines, regain hormonal balance and much more. I have also worked alongside parents to help them discover new and delicious ways to improve the nutritional intake of their fussy children - and partners - as well as alleviate symptoms unique to them.
Overall,
Nutrition is something we should all be aiming to learn more about. It can literally change our lives. My aim is to help everyone discover a new love for healthy foods, to get you excited to eat real food again and to make it taste great. Your nutrition needs will differ from everyone else you know and I will work to create a plan based on your specific requirements, time restrictions, and budget. Not only will you be able to better your own health, but you will be able to guide the people you love most in the right direction too. You will never regret investing in your health.
